Job Summary

This is a regional role, directing activities and strategies within the assigned region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate transaction and portfolio management, as well as experience leading a real estate team and managing external relationships and structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a regional team, including internal caregivers and external relationship structures.
  • Define and execute real estate strategies for the region, consistent with system-wide strategies.
  • Manage and report on KPIs, goals, and other tools to track and report on the performance of real property assets.
  • Implement policies and procedures for real estate activities in the region.
  • Manage real estate transactions and agreements, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, land use, development, condemnation, etc.
  • Manage regional real estate budgets, financial approvals, and financial performance.
  • Monitor the assessment, tax, and tax-exemption of real property assets in the region.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships within the region that are essential to executing real estate strategies.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in real estate transaction and portfolio management.
  • Experience leading a real estate team and managing external relationships and structures.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to real estate and facilities.
  • Skilled communicator with a demonstrated ability to interface with senior leadership and community leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the real estate markets within the assigned region.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to real estate and facilities in a healthcare setting, including Stark Laws, The Joint Commission, and Life Safety.
  • A real estate broker license.

Physical Requirements

  • Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
  • Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
  • Occasional travel required.
