We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director Financial Aid to join our team at Murray State University. As a key member of our financial aid department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, including training and managing operational staff, awarding aid, verification, and compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a thorough understanding of federal, state, and institutional regulations to ensure continued compliance.
- Provide leadership, training, and supervision to staff members, promoting professional development and growth.
- Develop and execute auditing and quality assurance procedures to monitor daily performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot awarding and disbursement of aid, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Counsel students and parents as needed, providing guidance and support.
- Participate in college night functions, summer orientation sessions, workshops, and other activities to promote the university and its programs.
- Collaborate with federal, state, and internal auditors to ensure compliance and maintain eligibility for Title IV funding.
- Work closely with the Associate Director of Systems to ensure quality of awarding and reporting processes.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Two years of supervision experience.
- Minimum of three years' experience with administering federal financial aid, working with federal regulatory guidelines, and federal financial aid software systems.
- In-depth understanding of the Banner higher education administration system.
