About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Information Manager to join our team at the San Jose Airport. As a key member of our Marketing and Communications Division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage with our diverse community, stakeholders, and media outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to achieve business goals and objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with traditional and non-traditional media outlets
  • Provide crisis communications leadership, planning, and training for the Airport
  • Manage the Airport's speakers bureau and represent the Airport in various situations
  • Facilitate healthy neighborhood and community relationships, and serve as the Airport's Ombudsman
  • Support the Airport's collaborative marketing campaigns, including partnerships with airlines, tenants, and other government agencies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, or a closely related field
  • 6 years of increasingly responsible journalism, mass media communications, public relations, or public information experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license may be required
