Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards, ensuring materials are suitable for all students' capabilities.
  2. Provide comprehensive lesson plans to support staff for effective program delivery.
  3. Utilize positive reinforcement strategies to manage student behavior.
  4. Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
  5. Collaborate closely with school personnel to address academic challenges faced by students.
  6. Foster professional relationships characterized by integrity, confidentiality, respect, fairness, and trust.
  7. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness of the diverse backgrounds of all families.
  8. Ensure student safety through the practice of emergency drills.
  9. Develop monthly newsletters for parents and organize engaging parent night events.
  10. Coordinate monthly meetings with support staff to enhance program effectiveness.
  11. Train, supervise, and evaluate support staff, providing written assessments bi-annually.
Essential Skills:
  1. Proven ability to communicate effectively with families and educational staff.
  2. Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  3. Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and database management.
  4. Understanding of and commitment to grant compliance.
  5. Ability to follow instructions, collaborate with a team, resolve issues, and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
Work Environment: The role requires frequent sitting, occasional walking, and standing. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. The ability to maintain mental acuity for productive interactions is necessary.

Performance Evaluation: Annual performance reviews will be conducted by the supervisor.
