Employment Details: This role operates Monday through Friday, aligned with the academic calendar.
Working Hours: 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Educational Requirements: A degree in education or a related discipline is essential, with a preference for candidates holding a North Dakota teaching license.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess CPR and First Aid Certification or be willing to obtain these certifications upon employment.
Job Objective: To facilitate a safe, enriching, and high-quality educational program for children during after-school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards, ensuring materials are suitable for all students' capabilities.
- Provide comprehensive lesson plans to support staff for effective program delivery.
- Utilize positive reinforcement strategies to manage student behavior.
- Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
- Collaborate closely with school personnel to address academic challenges faced by students.
- Foster professional relationships characterized by integrity, confidentiality, respect, fairness, and trust.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness of the diverse backgrounds of all families.
- Ensure student safety through the practice of emergency drills.
- Develop monthly newsletters for parents and organize engaging parent night events.
- Coordinate monthly meetings with support staff to enhance program effectiveness.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate support staff, providing written assessments bi-annually.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with families and educational staff.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and database management.
- Understanding of and commitment to grant compliance.
- Ability to follow instructions, collaborate with a team, resolve issues, and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
Performance Evaluation: Annual performance reviews will be conducted by the supervisor.
