Eagle Seven is in search of an Operational Risk Analyst to assist our Accounting, Risk, and Trading divisions with comprehensive reporting, profit and loss reconciliation, and trade/position alignment.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for the ideal candidate who is keen on enhancing their accounting automation capabilities within a fast-paced trading atmosphere.


Key Responsibilities include:
Develop a deep understanding of various automated daily accounting, reporting, and reconciliation workflows.

Conduct daily trading activities, position and brokerage reconciliations, along with profit and loss reconciliations for derivatives and securities trading activities across the organization.

Collaborate with traders, back office personnel, risk managers, and clearing firms to resolve trade discrepancies, fee and interest variances, as well as clearing and settlement challenges.

Support the back office team with profit and loss compilation reports at scheduled intervals.

Partner with colleagues to automate diverse tasks and reporting processes.

Assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and developing various automated systems related to middle and back office functions.

Address post-trade risks and execute other middle office responsibilities such as margin calculations and position/collateral transfers.

Fulfill ad-hoc requests and provide assistance to team members as necessary.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

1-4 years of pertinent experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including VBA.

Familiarity with Python is advantageous but not mandatory.

Must possess strong attention to detail, analytical skills, self-motivation, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Understanding of financial markets and trading terminology is preferred but not essential.
