General Accounting Clerk*

Employment Type: Full Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized General Accounting Clerk to support our Accounting Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of general accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the accounting processes. The General Accounting Clerk will assist with accounts payable/receivable, billing deals, and support month-end closing procedures. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are accurate and paid in a timely manner.

  • Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments as necessary.
  • Support month end closing activities, including the compilation of required documentation and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Verify and track expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • File and maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal staff regarding financial transactions and account status.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial procedures are followed and to address any discrepancies or issues.
  • Participate in financial audits and provide support as required.
  • Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proven experience working in an accounting role or related field is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in accounting software CDK and Tekion.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
