Job Title: System Applications Engineer for Industrial Automation

Analog Devices, a global leader in semiconductor technology, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced System Applications Engineer to join our Industrial Automation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving technical engagements with industrial automation customers, developing reference designs, proof of concepts, and other collateral to advance customer design ins.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation systems, with expertise in precision analog, mixed signal, digital, security, software, and AI. You will work closely with our customers to understand their system requirements, current approach, and challenges, and translate these into system architectures comprising multiple ADI technologies and signal chains.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interacting with customers to determine their system requirements, current approach, and challenges.
  • Translating customer problem statements into system architectures comprising multiple ADI technologies and signal chains.
  • Working with marketing to define and execute proof of concepts and reference designs.
  • Gathering processor/security/cybersecurity requirements for focus applications in the industrial automation space.
  • Providing sales and customer support throughout the development process to deliver mutual success.
  • Clear communication to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, team members, and collaborating ADI teams.
  • Growing strong technical and business networks internal and external to ADI and leveraging them to create differentiating solutions.

Desired qualifications include a Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, typically 7+ years of relevant industrial safety and security experience, and experience in defining, developing, and evaluating firmware and hardware for embedded systems, including FPGA's. Familiarity with PCB development, particularly high-speed digital design or power circuits, and experience with major industrial and IoT protocols are also required.
