Job Title: Senior Automation Specialist

Top Tier Reps LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Specialist to lead and implement innovative automation solutions and design standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery.
  • Develop control system architecture, select components, detail schematic diagrams, program controllers, process visualization, and implement/commission control systems.
  • Design, detail, and implement industrial networking systems using protocols like Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.
  • Manage projects including execution plans, budgets, scheduling, task prioritization, financial tracking, and reporting.
  • Oversee daily project operations, ensuring overall project profitability.
  • Act as technical lead and mentor for lower-level engineers and technicians, possibly taking on the role of Project Manager for smaller projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Over 10 years of experience in automation, with significant capabilities in PLC platforms, HMI/SCADA platforms, DCS platforms, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, leading and mentoring engineering teams, and managing automation design and implementation projects in the Life Science industry.
  • Strong knowledge of S88 Batch, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, System and Software Development Life Cycles, and validation.
  • IT/OT networking, automation protocols, and relational databases.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of process automation experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Proficiency with Ignition, Rockwell, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in all phases of automation projects.
  • Knowledge of S88 Batch, GAMP5, System and Software Development Life Cycles, and validation.
  • Experience with relational databases and automation protocols.
