Job Summary

We're seeking a Cloud-focused Performance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Research and Development function, you'll work on modeling, measurement, and analysis of cloud-based storage systems' performance. Your focus will be on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances, product quality, product cost, and time-to-market.

This role requires a broad-thinking, systems-focused individual who is creative, team-oriented, technologically savvy, and driven to produce results. You'll create analytical and simulation-based models to predict storage systems performance, evaluate design alternatives for enhanced performance, and measure and analyze product performance to identify improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create performance analysis and modeling tools to predict storage systems performance
  • Evaluate design alternatives for enhanced performance and prototype opportunities for performance enhancements
  • Measure and analyze product performance to identify improvement opportunities
  • Design, implement, execute, analyze, interpret, socialize, and apply storage-oriented performance measurements and their results
  • Work closely with development teams to drive the performance improvement agenda
Requirements
  • Knowledge of performance analysis and modeling techniques, tools, and benchmarking
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in computer operating systems, hardware architecture, and design, data structures, and standard programming practices
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Perl, Python, and shell
  • Knowledge of storage and file systems
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong influencing and leadership skills
  • The ability to make accurate work estimates and develop predictable plans
  • A creative and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • A willingness to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that positively contribute to team, department, and company goals
  • The ability and willingness to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and create/enhance automation frameworks to improve productivity
Education & Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required; 6 to 8 years of experience is preferred
  • A Bachelor of Science, Master's of Science, or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is [$138,780]–[$186,560] and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
