Job Description

At YWCA Kalamazoo, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Research, Evaluation, and Program Development to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women and girls in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of research and evaluation strategies to inform program development and improve outcomes for our clients.
  • Collaborate with program teams to design and execute impact evaluations, needs assessments, and research studies that advance our mission.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Serve as the principal writer for research funding opportunities and manage funded research projects.
  • Develop and implement agency-wide research, evaluation, and program development protocols.
  • Ensure all programs are supported with rigorous, measurable logic models and evidence-based tools and interventions.
  • Lead the organization's research-to-practice strategy, including identifying research-practice gaps and developing strategies to bridge the divide.
  • Secure, facilitate, and monitor research partnerships, including developing the agency IRB process.
  • Direct the development and issuance of data for monthly KPI reports, annual reports, advocacy reports, and funder data reports.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop policy papers and engage in public information sharing with partners, legislators, media, conferences, and other opportunities.
Requirements
  • Masters in social work or related field required, with a PhD in social work, early childhood, public health, or related field strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and executing social service programs, with expertise in implementation science and practice.
  • Personal or professional experience related to at least one of the agency's service pillars.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and executing impact evaluations, strategic planning, personnel supervision and growth, conducting needs assessments, facilitating research partnerships, and leading direct service teams.
