Quality Inspector Job Description

Verify is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team in Ashland, Virginia.

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies at various supplier facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect parts to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications.
  • Report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer via web application.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Use various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard.
  • Have a minimum of five years of experience performing inspections in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.
  • Work as an independent contractor.
  • Have an LLC/DBA or be able to obtain one.

Requirements:

  • Practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
