Job Title: Clinical Educator - Respiratory Therapy

At Children's Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient and family experiences. As a Clinical Educator - Respiratory Therapy, you will play a vital role in facilitating lifelong learning and professional development activities among clinical staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage onboarding and orientation programs for clinical personnel, including transition-to-practice programs for novice or new graduate clinicians.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate educational activities and programs based on identified practice gaps for a specific target audience.
  • Identify and develop strategies to facilitate a continuous process of growth through lifelong learning, including role transition, role integration, skill acquisition, and skill mastery.
  • Integrate best research evidence into didactic and clinical education design and promote and participate in research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives in the clinical setting.
  • Collaborate with other individuals, groups, departments, and/or institutions concerning education and learning.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years related clinical and/or nursing experience required.
  • Documentation of previous teaching experience preferred.
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience preferred.
  • State or national licensure/certification for clinical professional practice for Respiratory Therapy (RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist) required.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.
  • PALS, PEARS/PACES, and/or NRP if applicable based on specialty area requirements within 6 months after hire.
  • NPS within 18 months after hire.
  • National specialty certification appropriate for area(s) of responsibility preferred.
