As a Member Service Representative, you can expect to:
• Process monetary transactions for members accurately, entering them into the bank's software systems and issuing receipts.
• Adhere to the bank's security protocols on a daily basis.
• Stay informed about the bank's check cashing policies and federal regulations to verify checks and cash, as well as to examine documents for essential elements.
• Review member accounts to make informed decisions regarding requested transactions.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer on a daily basis.
• Promote TowneBank and its offerings effectively.
• Deliver outstanding service to members, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
• Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance.
• Perform additional branch responsibilities as assigned.
• Comply with all relevant federal laws, rules, and regulations related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
You should possess the following skills:
• Basic computer proficiency, including knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, and banking software.
• Flexibility to adapt and grow as new systems or processes are introduced.
• Ability to maintain a balanced cash drawer consistently.
• Capability to process monetary transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Proven track record of providing excellent service to members in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a key team player.
• Punctuality.
Preferred qualifications include:
• Previous cash handling experience and/or six months of bank teller experience.
Physically, you can expect to:
• Communicate ideas effectively through spoken word, both verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force, use your arms and legs, and remain seated for extended periods.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as analyzing data, viewing computer screens, reading, and preparing documentation.
• Work in an environment with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
