Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Owens Realty Services. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our properties, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed, and maintain a clean and organized storage area.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including floor buffers, vacuums, and mops.
  • Assist with special events and projects, such as setup and teardown, and provide support to other departments as needed.
  • Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the facilities team, and assist with implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three months of related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, and apply common sense to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand English.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 6.5 hours per day, with regular breaks and time off as needed. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
