NatureWorks LLC is seeking a highly skilled Plant Controller to oversee the financial and operational aspects of our Blair, Nebraska plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements, enhancing team efficiency, and collaborating with our Thailand team to capitalize on new production opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership: Lead plant accounting, maintaining standard costs and material master data, and overseeing monthly manufacturing and inventory reconciliation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize inventory levels, streamline financial processes, and enhance team efficiency.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Manage the Fixed Asset Process, review internal controls, and contribute to system understanding, including SAP.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Lead efforts to capitalize on new production opportunities in Thailand, ensuring processes are consistent globally, and drive cross-functional exposure and robust collaboration with other departments.
  • People Management: Identify strengths and areas of improvement for direct reports, aligning training to meet company needs and enhance skill development.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Partner with the Controller – Financial Planning & Analysis on annual budgets, analyze budget vs. actual results, and assist with year-end tax reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in driving improvements in costing and fixed assets within a process manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to apply a deep understanding of GAAP principles and leverage experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Effective people management skills, including effective delegation and driving a collaborative work environment.
  • 5+ years experience in cost accounting, including physical inventory and financial statement analysis.
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare meaningful reports, and maintain customer relationships.
  • Strong customer focus and service orientation with cross-cultural effectiveness.
