Location: Blair, Nebraska

Job Description: As a Meat Specialist - Food Production Associate, you'll play a vital role in preparing, packaging, and merchandising meat products to meet customer expectations. You'll work independently to ensure compliance with company guidelines for safety, food safety, and guest experience. Your attention to detail and ability to meet production targets will contribute to the financial success of our store.

• Prepare and produce meat products to meet production planner guidelines
• Package and label meat products according to program plans
• Merchandise meat products to meet flight plans and merchandising expectations
• Stock backroom with meat products, rotating and dating cases and buckets
• Notify the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered
• Collaborate with other departments and stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail
• Apply basic mathematical skills to manage inventory and production
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights, and measures to other Associates
• Follow all PPE and safety guidelines, food safety and cleaning expectations, and guest experience guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A High School Diploma (GED) preferred
• One year of retail or related experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
• Basic mathematical skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently

Physical Requirements: This role requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You may be required to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
