East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a Site Coordinator in Newport, RI. As a vital member of the NFCOZ Student Supports Team, the Site Coordinator plays a crucial role in executing and sustaining the vision of the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) initiative. This position involves coordinating programs and services at the Pell Elementary School, enhancing student access to high-quality, engaging, and comprehensive academic and enrichment opportunities within the community during out-of-school time hours (OST).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing Out-of-School Time (OST) activities.
  • Overseeing daily operations of program participants and staff, fostering collaborative relationships with school personnel, community organizations, and encouraging parental involvement while supporting the growth of students' social and emotional learning skills.
  • Supervising students at community sites, facilitating their engagement in activities, and managing logistical aspects of the off-site program, including transportation, family communication, and collaboration with partners.
  • Advancing NFCOZ initiatives and promoting the mission and vision of EBCAP, the NFCOZ, and the objectives of the CLC and OST initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field in human services.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working within the community with school-aged children and families, focusing on social/emotional learning, behavior management, program development, educational practices, family engagement, and program recruitment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, parents, community representatives, and volunteers.
  • Willingness to participate in relevant training and professional development to enhance job performance.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain confidentiality, solve problems, and stay organized.
