Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a diverse range of professionals to construct, operate, and maintain a premier launch facility.
  • Develop and execute procedures for the commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of fluid systems.
  • Engage in system safety assessments, conducting hazard analyses and guiding operations with a focus on safety protocols.
  • Manage and maintain launch pad piping systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Support the oversight of commissioning and operation of newly designed or modified piping and pressure systems.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally may be required.
  • Flexibility to work second shifts may be necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in design or operation of fluid systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams comprising various roles and disciplines to achieve shared objectives.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in operating and troubleshooting mechanical and/or piping systems.
  • Experience with high concentration hydrogen peroxide handling.
  • Familiarity with standard components and installation methods for piping systems.
  • Knowledge of fluid component specifications and typical uses in tubing and piping systems.
  • Experience in drafting and executing test plans for hazardous and safety-critical components.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs and installation drawings for piping systems.
  • Understanding of ASME B31.3 standards and in-field oversight of piping system construction and testing.
  • Experience with aerospace fuel, oxidizer, and high-pressure pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of precision cleaning processes and verification of cleanliness levels for stainless steel.
