Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate loss and pricing analysis data to identify factors affecting the casualty portfolio.
  • Oversee significant loss and early warning information; manage inventory and provide summaries as needed.
  • Review claims coding and documentation, suggesting enhancements for better data analysis.
  • Monitor and present reports on limits, underlying policies, premiums, and policy counts as required.
  • Examine referral and authority patterns; compile and manage renewal lists and pipeline reports as instructed.
  • Engage in digitization initiatives, consolidate guided underwriting components, and validate web scraping processes.
  • Ensure adherence to strategies and forms attachment across various systems and portfolio segments.
  • Keep track of high-severity portfolios and emerging risks, working closely with the business analytics team.
  • Collaborate with Home Office Line of Business/Industry Practice Managers, Analytics, Actuaries, Claims, and Corporate Catastrophe teams.
  • Lead assigned casualty projects within the CI framework.
Required Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

• Relevant experience in underwriting or data analytics is preferred.

• Familiarity with commercial underwriting and insurance industry principles and practices.

• Proven expertise in data analytics and project management.

• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities essential for integrating underwriting strategies, regulations, and modeling concepts.

• Experience or interest in insurance pricing models and data analysis.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree required.
