Risk Management Specialist

The Underwriting Associate plays a crucial role in the achievement of corporate goals, focusing on growth, profit, renewal retention, and service and producer/client management. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can gather and analyze account information, develop underwriting recommendations, and coordinate account processing for renewals.
Key Responsibilities
• Gathering and analyzing account information, including loss information, driver information, financials, and loss control reports
• Developing underwriting recommendations and pricing strategies
• Completing and documenting risk reports for underwriters
• Coordinating account processing for renewals with underwriters and customer service representatives
• Providing rating and issuance instructions, including appropriate forms, coverages, and final premiums
• Reviewing submission information with underwriters and preparing quote letters
• Documenting underwriting analysis information in electronic files and ensuring file integrity
• Adhering to state-regulated compliance requirements and resolving issues
• Processing endorsements within designated authority
Qualifications and Competencies
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of commercial insurance principles and practices.
