We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team at DeLeon & Stang CPA's & Advisors. As a Tax Accountant, you will play a critical role in assisting our Tax team with managing multiple tax engagements, delivering quality client service, and preparing accurate and timely individual tax services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review a variety of individual tax returns in compliance with laws and regulations, with a heavy workload during busy season (January to April 15)
  • Build client relationships to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise
  • Assist the tax team with communications to clients regarding tax matters
  • Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare accurate work papers for tax engagements
  • Assist with tax and financial planning for individuals
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of public accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
  • CPA license a must
  • Understanding of individual tax and related knowledge
  • Ability to work independently
  • Analytical, communication, and research skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong analytical and writing skills required
  • Comprehensive understanding of data analysis techniques
  • Creative problem-solving and research skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in leading projects to completion
  • Flexible, organized, and open to feedback with excellent follow-through skills
