Transfer Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Transfer Specialist to join our team at SCI Shared Resources LLC. As a Transfer Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and respectful transportation of deceased individuals to their designated destinations.
Key Responsibilities- Transfer Operations
- Safely transport deceased individuals in accordance with local and state/provincial laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with first responders, coroners, hospital staff, and senior living facility staff to ensure seamless transfer processes.
- Interact with bereaved family members in a professional and sensitive manner, minimizing conversation and maintaining a warm and courteous first impression.
- Enter deceased event information into proprietary software according to company procedures.
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentability of company vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, and fueling as necessary.
- Identify and report any vehicle engine or operating issues to management.
- Ensure personal protective and transfer supplies are stocked and maintained in vehicles.
- Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- At least one (1) year work experience as a courier or driver, with direct customer interaction preferred.
As a Transfer Specialist, you will work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, traveling locally and/or to multiple locations as required. You will be expected to maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company's field dress code policy.
This is a part-time position, with working hours extending beyond standard hours as needed. Local travel up to 100% using company vehicles is required.
