Job Summary: We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in the Grandville office. This role will report to the Patient Engagement Manager and work in a hybrid position, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support patients throughout their treatment journey, working collaboratively to address their needs and concerns.
  • Partner with Medical Treatment Providers to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Process prior authorization requests, pharmacy transfers, and medication refills in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Respond to patient inquiries, providing education and support on our services.
  • Work with the Provider Network in the EHR system to complete administrative tasks and support patient questions and requests.
  • Coordinate additional medical testing requests and triage patient care issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in process improvement activities to enhance patient care and service.
  • Comply with all HIPAA and telemedicine regulations, ensuring the highest standards of patient confidentiality and care.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional work environment by supporting the mission and values of Mentavi Inc.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program required.
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration.
  • Two or more years of experience in Family or Internal Medicine, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, or Telehealth preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Technologically proficient, with the ability to work efficiently in multiple software systems.
  • Knowledge of medical and pharmacology terminology, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
