Global Student Experience Manager

About the Role:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Life Coordinator to join our team in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland. As a Student Life Coordinator, you will play a key role in cultivating strong relationships with program faculty, staff, and students, and will be responsible for coordinating and implementing programming that connects students to the local community and promotes a holistic and integrated living-learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement programming, including shared meals, guest speakers, and local and regional activities, to connect students to the local community and promote a sense of belonging.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with program faculty, staff, and students to ensure a positive and supportive living-learning environment.
  • Facilitate student well-being by engaging in ongoing support and mentorship to students through one-on-one conversations, group discussions, and other educational interventions.
  • Serve as the primary student conduct officer at the Riva San Vitale campus, working closely with the Student Conduct Office to uphold policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and other team members to develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and full-time experience supporting students within a university setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student engagement, development, and success.
  • Experience working with diverse populations of students in complex institutional settings and fostering sensitivity to diversity issues.
  • Demonstrated vision and creativity in program design, promotion, and implementation.
  • Experience that reflects adaptability, initiative, and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Higher Education, International Education, or related field, and full-time experience supporting students within a university setting.
  • Proficiency in both English and Italian language.
  • Experience with living and/or working internationally.
  • Experience collaborating with faculty.
  • Knowledge of student development theory.
