Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. As a key member of our Ground Support Equipment team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our stationary equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on passenger loading bridges, air handler hoses, gear boxes, and other stationary equipment
  • Inspect and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems
  • Collaborate with other team members and vendors to ensure timely and effective repairs
  • Meet safety and quality standards in all aspects of work
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree or related military experience preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in an industrial powered mechanical environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and manuals
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repair of complex systems
