Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. As a key member of our Ground Support Equipment team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our stationary equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on stationary equipment, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Inspect and maintain air handler hoses, adapters, air filters, condensate pans, and indicator bulbs and lenses
  • Repair and replace gear boxes, bearings, and shafts, as well as roller replacements and belt re-lacing
  • Work with the baggage handling system (BHS) control rooms to resolve bag jams and ensure smooth operation
  • Perform small component repair and build-up of non-specialized components on specialized equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree or related military experience preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in an industrial powered mechanical environment
  • Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
  • Proficient in English and ability to read and comprehend technical documents
