About the Diesel Mechanic Position

This is a great opportunity to join the Transdev team as a Diesel Mechanic in Arlington, Virginia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of buses and other equipment operated by Arlington Transit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed
  • Assist with road calls and emergency services as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
Requirements:
  • Vocational or technical degree in vehicle maintenance or a related field
  • Valid CDL driver's license (highly preferred)
  • At least 1-5 years of experience in automotive or diesel repair
  • ASE certifications (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills and experience with web-based applications
