Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the product development lifecycle for assigned lines from conception to production.
- Collaborate with the Product Development Manager, Creative Director, and VP of Product to uphold development schedules and tracking mechanisms.
- Review prototypes with designers and secure approvals across all brands.
- Ensure adherence to costing and margin targets, providing accurate reports.
- Facilitate bi-weekly communications with the manufacturing team in Asia to streamline the development process.
- Conduct product reviews at various stages, including prototypes and pre-production samples, ensuring quality and design intent.
- Educate marketing teams on product specifications and details.
- Proofread catalogs and packaging for precision.
- Maintain and organize the fabric, trim, and sample library.
- Manage the transition from design to manufacturing, ensuring all deliverables are accurate.
- Coordinate salesman sampling and catalog development to support go-to-market strategies.
- Work with the Quality Control Manager to ensure thorough material and durability testing.
- Integrate feedback from product testing into the development process.
- Prepare and share fit photos and comments.
- Update technical packs as necessary.
- Create and maintain visual line plans and work-in-progress boards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Technical Design, Development, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in product development with a strong grasp of technical design.
- Experience in active apparel, knitwear, and embellishments is advantageous.
