Product Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at Panasonic North America. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for planning and leading new product development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing product proposals.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and lead new product development projects, including market research, product design, and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to develop product strategies and ensure successful product launches.
- Develop and maintain product specifications, including features, benefits, and pricing.
- Work with factory finance teams and production teams to calculate manufacturing costs and ensure product profitability.
- Lead project teams to ensure timely completion of projects and delivery of high-quality products.
- Support product testing and certification, including working with third-party testing labs and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain product documentation, including installation manuals and technical specifications.
- Provide technical support to sales teams and customers, including resolving quality issues and providing product information.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the HVAC industry.
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of HVAC design and ventilation principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Fluency in English and Japanese, with Spanish capability a plus.
