Job Summary and Qualifications
The RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare and the Texas Board of Nursing. In collaboration with the patient, the patient's family, and other members of the healthcare team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates treatment plans.
Requirements
- RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- BCLS and ACLS certifications.
- Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
Preferred Qualifications
- Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician's orders.
- Knowledge of body substance isolation.
- Ability to listen, empathize, and respond to patient, family, internal, and external partners' needs.
- Speak/understand Spanish.
- Preferred experience as RN in Critical Care.
- Preferred experience as RN 1-2 years in Med-Surg or Telemetry.
- TNCC and CCRN Certification.
- Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
- Basic Computer skills and proficiency.
- Ability to work with others within a team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to move an excess of 100 pounds, with assistance from other staff.
