Job Description

Sundancer Electric is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of electrical projects. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with project planning, coordination, and execution, as well as providing support to the Project Manager in ensuring that all project billings are executed efficiently, accurately, and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in developing project execution plans, including permits, RFIs, and PLAs.
  • Set up awarded projects in SEI systems and programs, including Spectrum, OneDrive, and Viewpoint Teams.
  • Assist the Project Manager in documentation and scope of work review, including schedule, material buyouts, equipment rentals, and subcontractor contracts and POs.
  • Participate in internal kickoff meetings with the estimator, foreman, and document team.
  • Attend GC/Owner kickoff meetings.
  • Conduct site visits with the Project Manager and Foreman.
  • Assist the Project Manager with change management, material management, subcontract management, customer management, schedule management, progress billing, and pay application accuracy.
  • Participate in project close-out, punch-list management, O&M delivery, commissioning, final forecast, and lessons learned meetings with the team.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of Assistant Project Management experience in electrical, or a comparable role.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management software programs.
  • Knowledge of electrical products and equipment used.
  • Highly organized with a strong ability to prioritize across multiple projects.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Collaborative team-player.
  • Proficient in the use of technology.
