SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Penn State Health Medical Group - Contingency Pool is in search of a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to become part of the travel pool team. This role encompasses a variety of counties in the South-Central PA area, including Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, York, and Berkshire counties. The LPN will be tasked with floating to different Academic Practice Division (APD) Medical Group offices for daily and weekly assignments. The APD-based offices range from General Primary Care to single or multi-specialty practices, ensuring that no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients and conduct Point-of-Care Testing.
- Perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
- Administer medications and complete asynchronous administrative tasks.
- Work with diverse populations, including pediatrics and geriatric patients.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to function both collaboratively within a team and independently. Each assignment will require meeting not only the expectations of the Contingency Pool but also those of the assigned office. Punctuality and adherence to the bi-weekly schedule are essential.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state of employment or possession of a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to the completion of orientation.
