The Goodkind Group is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Greenwich, Wilton, and Stamford. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

**Job Responsibilities:**

  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including rooming patients, completing DME/casts, and stocking rooms.
  • Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming medications and allergies.
  • Prepare patients for examination by ordering preliminary physical tests/x rays and interacting with other departments to obtain resources needed for patient care.
  • Maintain accurate notes and records, ensuring patient dignity and confidentiality.
  • Remove sutures and staples as appropriate and prepare injectable medications per physician orders.
  • Dressings - assess wound condition prior to cast applications and consult with Providers for further orders when problems are identified.
  • Cast application - adjust, remove, repair, bi-valve, wedge, and window casts using plaster or synthetic materials.
  • Measure and fit patients for orthopedic braces, devices, and ambulatory aids, instructing patients on proper use.
  • Manage orthopedic supplies, stock rooms, and empty biohazard bins.

**Requirements:**

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program at any school.
  • General knowledge of office procedures and computer systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle high-stress, busy work environments.
  • Knowledge of Word & Outlook required.
  • Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills.
