Foster Care Therapist

Cayuga Centers is seeking a skilled Foster Care Clinician to join our team. As a Foster Care Clinician, you will work with children and families to provide trauma-informed care and support.
About the Role:The Foster Care Clinician will coordinate treatment planning and delivery for all program youth and families. This includes building partnerships between youth, foster families, and biological families, providing individual and family therapy, and maintaining confidentiality.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement treatment plans for youth and families
- Provide individual and family therapy using the ARC Framework
- Conduct psychosocial assessments, mental health assessments, and treatment plans
- Participate in 24-hour on-call availability for program youth and parents
- Provide record keeping and documentation for all clinical activities
- Respond to diversity among the agency's service population and staff
- Partner with Practice Managers to ensure children, youth, and families are quickly connected to needed programs and services
- License or Limited Permit in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling with experience in strength-based family and children's services
- Experience working with children and families in a community-based or 'in-home' setting
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- A strong belief in the capacity of people to grow and change
- Possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to appreciate and encourage diversity, and understand the concept of cultural trauma as it applies to individual and family functioning
- 3 weeks of vacation (with eligibility to cash out earned vacation time)
- 10 holidays, 3 personal days
