Role Overview:

  • Location: Dublin, California

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation through ongoing enhancements in processes, systems, and policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with account managers to optimize technology investments.
  • Lead and develop comprehensive technology roadmaps.
  • Provide advanced support to junior team members, fostering their skill development.
  • Oversee service incident and problem resolution for critical applications/products.
  • Engage with customers and departments regarding project updates, proposals, or technical challenges, including system design and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to assess hardware-software interfaces, develop specifications, and resolve customer issues.
  • Ensure optimal systems and infrastructure availability, focusing on security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Maintain data in a Knowledge Management toolset to expedite diagnosis and resolution of future incidents.
  • Enhance systems automation through Group Policy, scripting, or tooling wherever feasible.
  • Work with development teams to establish a unified technical direction and assist in elaborating solutions and interfaces.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your specialty area while possessing basic knowledge of other disciplines.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to address challenges and contribute to architectural direction.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to fault tolerance, high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Tackle complex technical challenges involving security, distributed systems, resource management, and large-scale system maintenance.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in computer science or relevant technical certifications.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
  • At least 3 years of practical knowledge in Azure, Office 365, Cisco UCS, OnBase, Tableau, OKTA, Netscaler, Citrix Hybrid Cloud, Nutanix, Nimble, Cohesity, VMware, MoveIT, Card Wizard, Windows Server 2016 and later, PowerShell, and RHEL 8.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud IaaS management.
  • Proficient in using technical tools (e.g., Visio) for creating detailed documentation and diagrams.
  • Expertise in utilizing Group Policy and PowerShell for process automation.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering Manager and Team Lead to update servers and configure hardware, virtual machines (VM), applications, peripherals, services, networking, and storage to ensure business continuity and high availability.
