About the Role

eTeam Inc is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with Patient Care: Provide physical care and personal hygiene to patients, including changing dressings, giving enemas, and taking vital signs.
  2. Support Patient Activities: Assist patients with recreational and rehabilitation activities, supervise patients during field trips, and prepare patients for meals and feed them if necessary.
  3. Prepare Patients for Examination: Prepare patients for examination by performing assigned procedures, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, and measurements, and assist in the examination process.
  4. Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Maintain, assemble, and dismantle devices and equipment used in patient care, prepare and test equipment for safe operation, and transport various equipment and supplies.
  5. Report Observations: Report observations of patients' and families' condition, mental state, and social behavior to medical and professional staff caring for patients, and participate in the assessment and/or care of patients and families.
  6. Process and File Documents: Maintain, control, complete, process, and file patients' charts, records, transportation, and time records, as well as other appropriate forms and documents.
  7. Escort and Transport Patients: Escort ambulatory patients and transport non-ambulatory patients by wheelchair, stretcher, bed, or stretcher-bed, including those with intravenous apparatuses, to all departments, clinics, diagnostic, and therapeutic units, religious, and recreation centers, and other areas within the facility and facility's affiliation hospital.
  8. Transport Bodies and Specimens: Transport bodies and/or assist mortuary caretaker in transporting bodies to the mortuary and place in refrigerator when necessary, search DOA's, and complete the required DOA reports, transport fetuses, amputated parts, or other specimens to the morgue, and provide postmortem care.
  9. Collect and Deliver Specimens: Collect and deliver specimens, charts, x-rays, regular, and emergency requisitions for diagnostic tests and treatments, and perform other messenger duties as required.
  10. Provide Comfort and Support: Provide for the comfort needs of patients and assist patients with all aspects and activities of daily living.
  11. Maintain Clinical Competence: Maintain clinical competence by attending continuing education programs.
Requirements

eTeam Inc requires a minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience for this role. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Compensation

eTeam Inc offers a competitive hourly rate of $15.00 - $21.00 per hour, as well as a range of benefits, including stipends, medical, dental, vision, and 401K. The expected pay range may vary, and certain benefits may be included.
