Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Trust Officer to join our team at M&T Bank. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will be responsible for administering and managing complex trust relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer complex trust relationships with clients, ensuring timely and accurate execution of trust documents and transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and their advisors, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including investment advisors and commercial bankers, to ensure seamless delivery of trust services.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and industry standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in client presentations and serve as a subject matter expert on trust administration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' experience administering fiduciary accounts or related legal/business experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex trust concepts to clients and internal partners.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple trust relationships and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of fiduciary business, including decisioning experience in complex fiduciary matters.
  • Ability to maintain high level of integrity and professionalism, with a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience administering fiduciary accounts or related legal/business experience in the financial services industry.
  • CTFA (Certified Trust and Financial Advisor) certification.
