Position Overview:

Assistant Property Manager Responsibilities:

The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in accurately computing, classifying, and recording financial data to maintain comprehensive financial records while assisting with leasing, marketing, and resident relations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage leasing tasks, including qualifying and welcoming prospective residents, conducting property tours, processing applications, and overseeing lease renewals.
  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.
  • Facilitate the signing of necessary documents by new residents before their move-in and provide orientation to the community.
  • Oversee rental payments, record transactions, prepare bank deposits, and manage delinquent accounts, including initiating eviction processes when necessary.
  • Prepare financial statements, maintain monthly property accounts, and generate quarterly and annual reports.
  • Assist with lease transactions, maintain accurate commission records, verify figures, and provide accounting support.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a customer service-oriented role and one year of experience in apartment leasing or a combination of accounting skills and customer service experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and sales aptitude are essential.
  • Fair Housing Certification is required; National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) certification is preferred.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to maintain composure in all situations are necessary.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must successfully pass a drug test.

Compensation:
$22-24/hour based on experience plus bonus opportunities.
