About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Government Systems Technologies, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment where you will play a pivotal role in the execution of clinical research studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to research participants, including administering medications, monitoring for adverse effects, and ensuring proper follow-up.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills within the nursing scope of practice as defined by regulatory bodies.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of clinical trials, including recruitment, screening, and enrollment, ensuring adherence to study protocols.
  • Understand and experience of study start-up and close out, with experience of working on multiple study protocols.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable about and strictly adhere to all study protocols, SOPs, and WIDs as outlined in the job training matrix.
  • Perform all essential operational and tasks associated with daily clinical trial and study visit activities, in accordance with good clinical practice guidelines.
  • Actively participate in meetings and teleconferences with other research colleagues by organizing and presenting study status updates, sharing best practices, and troubleshooting challenges.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Active nursing license (RN)
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred, Associate's Degree in nursing accepted.
  • Minimum 1 year nursing experience
  • Active BLS certification
  • Experience in managing, supervising, and training both licensed and unlicensed staff
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport, navigate sensitive topics, and maintain confidentiality with a diverse pool of research participants and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary team settings.
  • Proven problem-solving, critical decision making and professional judgement.
  • Embodies ethics and integrity in all work, respecting both company and broader community policies in all conduct.
  • Strong commitment to the team; maintains positive working relationships with diverse people, including internal team and external partners.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft computer programs
Preferred but not required
  • Solid understanding of clinical research, GCP, GDP, and other regulations
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical research roles
  • Experience working with patients affected by neurological disorders, such as Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis
  • Familiarity with imaging techniques (PET, SPECT, MRI)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Proficiency in data management tools and electronic data capture systems
