The successful candidate will possess a strong affinity for numerical analysis and a desire to deepen their understanding of the billing cycle. Reporting to the Billing Manager, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for preparing and managing billing invoices from initial stages to final submission for clients.

This position requires on-site presence, and only candidates within a reasonable commuting distance will be considered. We foster a business casual environment that encourages a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, legal staff, and others to produce prebills, track unbilled time, and ensure prompt billing and collections.
  • Modify prebills according to partner directives, including adjustments to time descriptions and the write-off of unbilled time/costs in accordance with firm policies.
  • Demonstrate persistence in following up with Billing Partners and others to resolve client billing discrepancies and secure invoice approvals.
  • Maintain and reconcile client accounts and accrual schedules.
  • Review prebills and coordinate with attorneys to ensure accurate posting of entries to the appropriate matters.
  • Edit and convert prebills into final bills using the 3E system.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Elite, 3E, or ADERANT software.
  • Basic understanding of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent time management abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to uphold confidentiality regarding company and partner information.
