The Role
The e-commerce sector has experienced remarkable expansion, and TikTok is poised to redefine the shopping experience for our users. Our product engineering team is at the forefront of this transformation, tasked with developing a secure, innovative, and user-friendly e-commerce ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and cultivate high-performing teams, including mentoring and supporting engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and various disciplines to innovate shopping experiences on TikTok.
- Oversee comprehensive system design across multiple teams and functions.
- Ensure the development of an intuitive and dependable shopping experience, covering aspects such as product browsing, checkout, returns, and refunds.
- Manage promotional campaigns by creating platforms and tools for merchants and clients to optimize their campaign performance and gain actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Experience with E-Commerce products or relevant industries such as Retail, Travel, or Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, JavaScript, Java, C++).
- Experience in hybrid cross-platform development is a plus.
- Solid grasp of business concepts, technical abstraction, and system module design.
- Experience with large-scale website architecture.
