Facilities Services Supervisor

About the Position:

This is a supervisory role within the Facilities Custodial Division of Yavapai County, requiring travel throughout the county in a County-provided vehicle. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience and possess strong leadership skills to join a strong supervisory team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily work schedules and supervise assigned staff in specific areas relating to custodial services.
  • Directly work on special and large projects alongside staff and assist in the completion and quality assurance of work.
  • Manage schedules for all daily custodial services for all county buildings, working closely with the Custodial Manager to create and assign schedules and follow up on their completion.
  • Provide training for custodians to ensure uniform compliance with procedures in floor, carpet, and window care, as well as train staff in safety compliance.
  • Manage inventory of all needed custodial supplies and work with the Custodial Manager on bid processes and procurement procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on custodial equipment.
  • Complete other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in building custodial services, including one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license.

Work Environment:

The work environment is associated with various indoor and outdoor locations, in all weather conditions, and includes exposure to loud noise, blood-borne pathogens, dust, fumes, mist, and chemicals.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time, move, lift, push, pull a variety of heavy objects, mix and work with cleaning fluids, chemicals, or similar solutions using normal protective equipment, and remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.
