Job Title: Survey Party Chief

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team at Stantec. As a Survey Party Chief, you will be responsible for leading a team of surveyors in the field, ensuring that all survey work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of surveyors in the field, providing guidance and oversight to ensure that all survey work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct field surveys, including collecting data and conducting measurements.
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including levels, robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
  • Assist in the preparation of survey reports and other documentation.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including engineering and construction teams, to ensure that survey data is accurately integrated into project plans.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or technical diploma/certificate in a related field, such as surveying or geomatics.
  • 3+ years of experience in surveying, including experience leading a team in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles and practices, including experience with survey equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
