Job Summary:

The Executive Director of Transportation Operations will be responsible for delivering overall performance and results for the company's customer service centers (CSCs). This individual will collaborate with company leaders to understand overall business goals and create a CSC operating plan to support these objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Operational Plans: Create and execute comprehensive operational plans to ensure the CSCs meet or exceed customer service and safety standards.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Direct, coach, and develop CSC staff to obtain the required skills and abilities to act independently in their job assignments.
  • Build and Maintain Customer Relationships: Enhance and build on current customer relationships to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Ensure Safety and Quality: Create a culture of safety while providing a high quality of service, and identify key safety issues affecting the safety of passengers and employees.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate company values, strategies, and objectives to CSC staff, and encourage feedback and input.
  • Manage Budgets and Resources: Review budgets and develop the annual operating plan business review, and direct the development of short and long-range business plans to increase incremental business, revenues, and margins.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field, or 5 years of comparable experience; at least 3 years of supervisory experience with some knowledge of P&L.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Proven ability to meet service delivery expectations, including customer and safety; knowledge of the company's service promise, services, capabilities, policies, procedures, and practices to effectively manage CSC personnel.
  • Leadership and Management: Knowledge of leadership and management practices and techniques, and the ability to build and maintain a high-performing team.
