Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Communications Specialist to join our team at DDA Public Relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations, communications, and media relations, with a proven track record of success in the entertainment industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the President and corporate PR team in the Los Angeles office, developing and executing PR plans and strategies for corporate clients, and building and maintaining close trade and press relationships.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the President and corporate PR team in the Los Angeles office
  • Develop and execute PR plans and strategies for corporate clients
  • Build and maintain close trade and press relationships
  • Field inquiries and pursue coverage in the trades and consumer press
  • Assist with press clippings and monitoring trade publications and key outlets for breaks and report coverage for corporate clients and festival films
  • Assist the President with calendar and provide research support for new business pitches
  • Participate in weekly touch bases with the team
Requirements
  • BS/BA in Public Relations, Communications, or relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience in the industry
  • Success in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, proactive, and personable demeanor
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, takes initiative and follows-through
  • Effective listening, strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong organizational, time management skills and work ethic
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
