About the Role

Lyon Shipyard Inc. is seeking a Maritime Supervision Lead to oversee the supervision of dock shop employees, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of dock operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective blocking plans, ensuring the safe berthing and securing of vessels, and maintaining railways and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage dock shop employees to ensure the accomplishment of job assignments.
  • Develop and implement effective blocking plans to accommodate each vessel docked at the yard.
  • Ensure the safe berthing and securing of vessels under changing weather and sea conditions.
  • Maintain railways and associated equipment in good working order.
  • Coordinate daily with superintendents to obtain the scope of work.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and order materials as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions.
