The anticipated salary range for this position is determined by job-related expertise, skills, and experience. This role qualifies for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. *Salary range is expressed in USD; ranges may vary based on geographic location, which is reflected in the Geographical Zones established by Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
*Salary Range: $104,000 to $240,000 (This range encompasses all Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to modification based on the Zone associated with the confirmed Offer).

Overview As a Senior Engineer at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you will play a crucial role in developing our Engineering Excellence team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering Excellence, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, training, and executing our engineering strategy, creating processes, and developing tools within Fanatics Betting and Gaming. The Staff Software Engineer will engage broadly with cloud technologies, site reliability practices, and CI/CD tooling. Responsibilities
  • Design and construct large-scale distributed systems.
  • Identify and drive enhancements and optimizations to our Kubernetes platform.
  • Promote the adoption of reliability best practices throughout the organization.
  • Mentor and elevate the skills of fellow engineers within the team.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.
  • Stay updated on technology trends and advancements in engineering.
  • Be open to occasional travel for events and team meetings.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Java, Python, or Go development required.
  • Expert-level understanding of Kubernetes control and data plane components.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Kubernetes Platform and container lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Kubernetes networking (e.g., CNI deployment and troubleshooting).
  • Expertise in AWS Compute and Networking products.
  • Proficient in managing and debugging large-scale infrastructure platforms in production.
  • Understanding of Networking and Microservice Architecture, with familiarity in writing highly concurrent systems and load balancing. If you possess some of these skills but not all, we still encourage you to apply.
