Senior Control Systems Engineer

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer at Persimmon Technologies, you will play a key role in developing advanced control systems for robotic manipulators and similar electromechanical systems. This includes motion control and servo tuning, development of dynamic models, modeling and simulations in Matlab, and implementation of software on real-time platforms. Additionally, you will be responsible for controls-related machine design analysis and selection of actuators, sensors and other controls-related components. Limited travel within and outside the US is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced control systems for robotic manipulators and electromechanical systems
- Conduct machine design analysis and select controls-related components
- Implement software on real-time platforms using Matlab and C/C++ programming
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products
Requirements
- D. degree in Computer, Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautic or similar engineering field
- 0-1 year of work experience in control systems development
- Proficiency in Matlab, C/C++ programming, and Linux
- Experience with electronic circuit design, prototyping, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with optical design and opto-electronic components
- Lab skills, including soldering of components, rework of PCBAs
