About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Emergency Response Technician II to join our team at BlueOval SK. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency situations within an industrial manufacturing setting, including fires, chemical spills, and medical emergencies.
  • Perform high-angle rescue operations, confined space rescue operations, and identify hazards in confined spaces.
  • Deal directly with the release of hazardous materials, including chemicals and gases, and act in an operations manner to address and contain spills.
  • Evacuate areas that could become contaminated by hazardous materials and provide life-saving tactics using acquired training.
  • Maintain equipment and perform periodic inspections on fire protection and life safety equipment.
  • Perform audits and inventory of life safety equipment and vehicles, and conduct drills and simulations to prepare for challenging industrial fires.
Requirements
  • Current Certification as Firefighter I/II from a national accredited organization.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to handle conflict situations with good judgment, professionalism, and courtesy.
  • Pass a background check and successfully complete the ERT physical agility requirements.
  • Apparatus Operator (Pumper/Aerial) certification required within 12 months of hire.
