We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in North Bend, WA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mobile equipment on plant property, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and haul trucks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas and assist with plant tasks, including lubrication, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Transport materials to and from storage and shop areas, utilizing equipment to maximize productivity and minimize wear and downtime.
  • Report mechanical or maintenance issues with equipment and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older and possess a Washington State Driver License.
  • Experience using or ability to learn plant mobile equipment.
  • Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team and ability to work safely and independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with good attendance and punctuality.
  • Display or have some mechanical aptitude for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an open pit mine, maintenance, cutting and welding, or crushing and screening.
  • MSHA Part 46 training and knowledge of environmental care and spill containment procedures.

Role operations primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
